Cumulative reach across GI4C programmes since 2024
Global Impact for Communities (GI4C) is a non-profit organization and Community Intelligence & Systems Strengthening Hub. We combine technology, data, localized research and community knowledge in our work.
The idea for GI4C emerged in November 2023 from the observation that many development challenges are not caused by a complete absence of information, but by weak connections between community realities, evidence, decisions, resources and action. Drawing on experience across community development, public health, information systems, research, programme implementation and systems strengthening, we saw that information could remain fragmented, priorities overlooked or duplicated, and interventions insufficiently informed by people’s lived realities. GI4C was envisioned to listen to communities, organize local intelligence and help translate it into better decisions and coordinated action.
GI4C was formally established in Cameroon on 8 June 2024, following acknowledgement of its Declaration of Association. Our work is grounded in people, dignity and human value.
